A Visit to Life Baby
It’s not very often Joburg has something unique to offer compared to Cape Town and Durban with their awesome beach stops and more. But… we do have Life Baby, and I love this little gem.
When Jaxon was just six weeks old, he had his first visit to Life Baby in Greenstone. Recently, I took Ava for her visit and she loved every minute. I shared a video of our experience on our Jax and Ava Facebook and Instagram account, be sure to check it out.
Life Baby works closely with pediatricians, chiropractors and reflexologists and focuses on things like sensory stimulation, muscle tone, water safety and separation anxiety.
Each session includes a few minutes floating in the water, interaction with some stimulating toys afterwards, followed by infant massage. Infant massage helps with tummy troubles, colic and restlessness. It also promotes better sleep!
We love our visits to Life Baby. Visit their website lifesbaby.co.za to learn more and be sure to give them a try if you stay in Joburg area or are ever visiting.
A Visit to Alice Art Gallery
After three blissful weeks at home soaking in all the beauty of my newborn, I decided it was time to come out of hibernation, ditch the leggings for my skinny jeans (woohoo!) and join my special friends for a morning out.
Earlier in the week I decided to express and attempt giving Ava the bottle, as I really wanted to enjoy a “date morning” alone with Jaxon for this outing. It was a success! She also happily drank from the bottle yesterday and was too happy to spend a few hours with her doting granny.
I did not think I had cabin fever, but, wow, it was amazing to enjoy the morning with my other mama friends, whilst sipping on a red cappuccino and spend some special time with Jaxon. Of course, naturally, I really missed Ava, but knew she was in good hands.
It was our first visit to the Alice Art Gallery and I would definitely recommend it. The kids enjoyed an art jamming session, followed with some lunch and play time on the jungle gyms.
They are based in Ruimsig, in the West Rand. The art jamming session and lunch for the kids cost R150. It’s a beautiful spot to go and have a bite to eat, while the kids play. The gallery is also beautiful, filled with creative inspiration.
Give it a try! xxx
